We are all aware of the rising pollution throughout our ever growing cities. With the rise in the number of cars that are owned publicly and privately, there is hardly any space left to move freely or breathe easily. The ever-increasing traffic consists of vehicles of varied sizes. From two-wheelers and bikes to big trucks and heavy vehicles, each and every vehicle adds a generous amount of toxic to the increasing pollution. The atmosphere is always open to any element that adds up to its fast degradation. When it comes to pollution we always picture a fog of black smoke coming out of a factory chimney. However have you ever wondered about the invisible pollution that is continuously adding to the environments degradation? Well, we always ignore the harsh effects that are gorging upon the inhabitants of a city due to the massive noise pollution that has been adding up.

The source of outdoor noise worldwide is mainly caused by machines, transport and transportation systems. Poor urban planning may give rise to noise pollution, side-by-side industrial and residential buildings can result in noise pollution in the residential areas. Some of the main sources of noise in cities include unnecessary honking, transportation noise, noisy traffic, nearby construction, or young people yelling. The implications of noise pollution might not seem to be hazardous; however, the severity of noise pollution may result in some dangerous effects. High noise levels can contribute to cardiovascular effects in humans and an increased incidence of coronary artery disease. While the elderly may have cardiac problems due to noise, according to the World Health Organization, children are especially vulnerable to noise, and the effects that noise has on children may be permanent. Noise poses a serious threat to a child’s physical and psychological health, and may negatively affect on a severe scale.

Hence after understanding the severe implications of higher noise pollution we at B. U. Bhandari Honda pledge to take some serious steps towards eradicating noise pollution from its roots and stand against it on the occasion of NO HORN DAY.
